Then there is the sister disorder MSBP or Munchausen's Syndrome By Proxy. Since PAS has been losing credibility
in courts, more protective parents are being accused of having MSBP aka Munchausen's Syndrome By Proxy. Although unlike PAS,
MSBP is a very real and dangerous psychological disorder recognized in the DSMIV, but it is very rare and extremely
difficult (and often improper) to diagnose. It is becoming more common for mothers involved in high conflict custody cases

Both Parental Alienation Syndrome
(PAS) and Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy (MSBP) are both commonly used as a Pedophile's Defense. Projecting the blame
onto the victim and victim’s accuser (the mother) is typical behavior of and abuser afflicted with Narcissistic Personality
Disorder (NPD). It is interesting to note that many pedophiles are in fact Narcissists.
